Focus:
In photography, it's practically married to sharpness. An image that is completely sharp is said to be in-focus. An image that's completely blurry is said to be unfocused. The same metaphor applies to your mind. When you concentrate, your mind is sharp. When a photographer uses the term "point of focus", he is referring to that object in a photograph at which
he wants to draw the most attention. "Focus" itself refers to the amount of the image that is sharp. Both the point of focus and the amount of focus affect the resulting image. In short, altering each one changes the look of the final photograph. |
The point of an image is to draw attention. There are many ways to capture someone's attention such as using old colours while others focus on dramatic scenery , though one way to easily capture someone's attention is by using texture in your photos. This can easily be done by using bigger lenses that focus more on closer objects, causing them to be able to capture tiny details.
Many ask why texture is used, though the answer is simple. It's used to create images that have impact. Texture that can givean impact. With this type of texture being used in photography, the detail of the surface being photographed is the most important aspect of an image. Meaning all the focus will be on the texture of the image more than what the picture is of. |
